Kimekomi Doll Making

Kimekomi is a kind of Japanese traditional craft. The mood of the body is being formed by the wood powder. With the wood body, sand paper is being used to smooth the surface of the body. As well, special tools are used to deeper the crack of the body in order to place the clothes on the doll.

These Japanese dolls are a symbol of good luck and that is why it is usually in the shape of children, animals as well as characters of the traditional stories in Japan.
